We are able to provide an invitation letter in support of visa applications. You can download an invitation letter during the registration process. If you are aware that your entry into Türkiye during the event dates requires a visa, we strongly recommend that you initiate the visa application process without delay. It is important to recognise that the waiting period and the subsequent approval phase can be time-intensive and contingent on your geographical location.  Since we do not issue refunds for our tickets, we urge attendees to address this visa-related matter before the purchase of any ticket, be it for one or multiple persons. Should you need additional support for the visa process, please email support@bettercottonconference.org.
If you are no longer able to attend the event as originally planned, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another colleague or partner at no additional cost prior to the event. Please email support@bettercottonconference.org. If a transfer of your registration is not possible, please note that Better Cotton is unable to offer refunds to the conference.
Press registration is available to approved media representatives. To apply for press credentials, please email chris.remington@bettercotton.org and include “press enquiry” in the subject line. An application is not a guarantee that you will receive press credentials as space is limited. Qualified applicants include working members of print, broadcast and online media. Please send contact details and examples of recent articles published. Journalists will not be considered without sufficient references. When authorised, complimentary passes will be made available to members of the media. External camera crews are never permitted at the Better Cotton Conference.
Please allow up to five business days for a reply. Media must be pre-approved to attend and will receive the necessary documentation – be it for in-person or online attendance – via email.

At the Event

Yes, please speak with a staff member at the reception desk to check in any luggage in a locked room.
In Türkiye, there are no participant limits for public gatherings and events, and it is no longer mandatory to present vaccination certificates upon entry or wear masks in the venue. However, in the interest of keeping everyone as safe as possible, we ask attendees to take responsibility to protect yourself and others against COVID-19. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, whether vaccinated or recently testing negative, please notify us, seek to get a test as soon as possible and limit your contact with others. If you are in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 during the conference, you do not need to isolate unless you feel unwell or test positive yourself.
Please email support@bettercottonconference.org as soon as possible to notify us of any change.
We kindly request that attire for the conference is business casual. The Evening Networking Dinner will be a relaxed event, so please dress fit for a summer evening in İzmir.

The Better Cotton Conference is committed to providing a professional, friendly and safe environment for all participants at all of its meetings, webinars, and virtual events, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, or other protected class.
The Conference will be held under Chatham House Rule, which says that:
“participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.”
In summary, participants are free to speak about what is said in conference sessions, but not who said it (or their organisation). This is to allow people to speak as individuals and encourage free discussion. You can find out more about the rule here
Better Cotton may wish to attribute quotes to speakers in post-event communications - if this is the case we will request specific permission from the speaker in advance of publication.
Yes, please feel free to share information from sessions on your social media channels, as long as it doesn't attribute quotes to a person or organisation, as per the above rule. Make sure to use the hashtag #BetterCottonConference2025.
